i am currently really enjoying my ultraportable rig which consists of a sony NWZ-A818 which has no line-out (i use flat EQ and +2 on "clear bass" for a fairly clean sound...SQ is superb btw) and my beloved IEMs, the westone ES2's. i am now considering getting an amp if it's truly worth adding the extra bluk... is it?

what amp would be ideal for this ultraportable rig of mine?

also, how useful is a DAC? i never considered this, but i know the Meier Move/2Move both have one. the reason i ask is because the 2Move is considered to have a better DAC than the original. it's basically the only thing that's stopping me from buying the original.

one more thing, why aren't there more rechargeable batteries found in the best of the best headphone amps out there? i think i'd prefer one...

here are some amps i am considering:

1) Meier Move (can get it for $175 in mint condition)

2) Meier 2Move (which has the better DAC than the original)

3) RSA Tomahawk (would prefer to pay less)

4) XIN Reference

5) Leckerton Audio UHA-3 ($189 and has a rechargeable battery)
