I recently purchased hd650 together with shiit magni 2. I stream spotify over wifi/bluetooth from cellphone to av receiver and I simply want to listen it using my new headphones. Natively It supports headphone through yamaha silent cinema but it adds surround sound so it's not really suited for music.

Av receiver back

as you see there are no preamp inputs and it will output only analog on av. How I can connect magni to avoid double amp issue ?

ps: I have 5.1 system already connected so all speakers inputs are already used

I can't find any analog outputs listed for the Yamaha RX-V81 receiver, except for the headphone jack.
So guess you can't really use the Magni 2 with the Yamaha.
I would assume there is away to bypass the headphone surround sound Silent Cinema feature on the Yamaha.
I'm just too lazy to go thru the RX-V481 manaul to find you the settings.

I think active hdmi audio extractor is worth trying. I will get digital signal -> rca -> magni -> headphone or do you think it won't work ?

e.g

Never used those types of extractors myself.
Receiver's usually use the same amplifier(s) to drive the speakers and the headphones.
So the magni might not make a noticeable improvement, over plugging the 300-Ohm HD650 directly into the receiver.
