Just noticed the typos in my original post...
What I should have said is:
I'm currently using the Halide Bridge from my computer to the DAC and the DAC is hooked up to my Cary Xciter amp. I'm plugging in the JH-13 pro into the headphone jack in the amp - not the DAC (my bad).
I bought a stereo adapter plug to fit into the headphone jack, but now I'm wondering if it should have been a mono?

PS - what is the down side of using the wrong plug (mono or stereo)?
