Hi,
Ive done some research and found out the by using the DAP coaxial line out I can connect it to a portable DAC.
but... I understand that the dac should be of high quality. Wanted to connect the e17k but was told it would be a waste..
Any ideas?

Doesn't the DX90 have high quality dual internal DAC's--one for each channel? 
 
Why would you want to by pass them for the Fiio?

I don't understand what you are saying. The DX90 has dual DACs that are used to decode the digital files stored on the DX90. There's a diagram on the ibasso website: http://www.ibasso.com/products-detail.php?id=182

Yes--this unit is first and foremost a DAP.  I'm not sure that it could be used as DAC for other equipment with its original software.

If they don't work then all you won't hear music. The DX90 already has dual Digital to Analogue Converters - if those weren't working then how do you hear the 11010010000110010000000001110010000011000010100101010101001010011000000000000010101111111101010011 of a digital audio file as actual sound?
