So, the backlight on a HP laptop went out and I would like to use an external monitor to copy a few files before sending it off for repairs.
However, after connecting the monitor etc I get the background from the laptop on the external monitor, but do not have visual on the icons etc.
Is there away to go about setting the external monitor to appear like the main monitor, icons and all?
