confusion on ipods....lightning, lod, or ?? | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Are the 5g or 5.5 30pin or lightning. The lod like fiio l9 etc work with 30pin correct. For lightning would i use the lighting to 30pin adapter? Or just double amp thru headphone out

The iPod Classic (video) 5th gen and 5.5 both use the 30 pin connector. It's only their new products that use the lighning connector.
