So I've been tinkering around with concrete mixtures and woodworking lately, and have combined them with my love of music.
I recently made my first attempt at a head phone stand.
The base is made out of custom mixed concrete ground to expose the aggregate (which includes amethyst crystals), polished and sealed. The bottom of the base has felt pads.
The stand is constructed without any mechanical fasteners (box joints are used), routed to ease the edges, and protected with an oil based finish. I made a few in different finishes.
With that said, how important is it to have a cord peg on the stands? Do folks usually use those?
