Okay, I know this is frowned upon by some here as advertising and no, I'm not affiliated with these guys, but today walked into the Computers and Music store in San Francisco, and was shocked by what they carry. If you're one of those like me who use computers as their source, you may want to check them out. After all the talk of Xitel/Creative/M-Audio/etc., I was surprised at how many more soundcard/usb/firewire options there are out there. There may be other stores like this (and if so please post them), but I haven't seen anything like it (so few computer stores care about audio, let alone the number compared hi-fi store numbers). If nothing else they list lots of links to options. Just wished I had more money.
