Last weekend my grandpa celebrated his birthday at my parents' place, outside on the terrace. The only decent set around was a complete onkyo/hepta receiver/speaker set which i had no intend to haul outside. There where however a set of logitec comp speakers.

I thought of putting a 3.5 to 6.3mm jack converter on them and use my GS-1 to power them from the headphone out.
The matter above was resolved otherwise but i still wonder how this could turn out. Could either take damage in this or will it just work happily?

It depends on the amp, and the speakers.

Some amplifiers can run 8ohm loads no problem, others blow up :)

If the speakers are 32ohms your problems are reduced, but its still worth caution/concern.
