Hey guys so ive got 100$ to spend on computer speakers which i will use mainly to play music on, but also youtube and movies. I listen to indie/rock music like the killers, queen, two doo cinema club. Ive posted a similar post but i think i posted it in the wrong section. im looking at 3 speakers now:
Creative Gigaworks T40 series II
Creative Inspire T3130
Logitech Z523

Firstly, which out of those will give the best sound for the type of music i listen to, and any other suggestions would be good too. And secondly, for the music i listen to, will i lose out on the Creative Gigaworks T40 due to it not having a subwoofer?
Thanks

Tiny speakers often need a sub, or all you get is tiny bass.

Have you seen this CNET article on the Lepai t-amp and Dayton speakers: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13645_3-57439115-47/build-your-own-desktop-stereo-for-under-$70/. Later on you could expand this with a sub if you fell you need to. Here's some discussion on head-fi: http://www.head-fi.org/t/627161/my-very-low-budget-nearfield-desktop-rig-lepai-amp-and-dayton-audio-speakers

I just looked at that and am considering it minus the fact i have to learn  how to set it up. With the lepai t-amp and dayton speakers would i need a subwoofer or bass?

I would think for most rock, they would do pretty good for bass for what they cost :)

yeaa ive read about the setup and have decided to get the one in the article, instead of the speaker systems i first mentioned. Now i just gotta find the Dayton Speakers that are sold in Malaysia. Shipping costs are too much :\
Thanks :)

Dayton is the house brand of partsexpress.com. You will likely need to find a different speaker in your region to keep the cost down.

I am currently looking in Dubai and UK for stores that may sell it as my uncles live there. Any suggestions for other bookshelf speakers as lowcost and good as daytons?

Sorry. I don't know what's available there. Try AVForums. The are a UK based home audio forum. They could probably make suggestions for low cost passive speakers in the UK to use with the Lepai amp.
