I am just gonna get right to my point and say that my main goal is to drive a pair of 30-ohm Phillips Fidelio x1s through my computer with decent quality (the best for the money).

I heard that something about “OPamps” on the xonar stx being swappable. Is it possible to swap out one of those amps and replace it with an amp that has an output impedance of around 3-4 ohm?

Would there be a better solution? Perhaps something like buying a soundcard that doesn’t include an amp and just buy an external, dedicated desktop headphone amp instead(ex. xonar d1+amp)?

I should probably mention that I would like to stay around the budget of a xonar stx, that I live in Europe and it’s limited what is available here (ex. the schiit magni is not sold anywhere here) and that it is required that I can output some kind of virtual surround sound through the setup for when I am gaming.

I am open to any suggestions or questions.
Please help me, the on-board audio is killing me
