that's my opinion. i've given the short complys a week now, and i've noticed two things: they've already begun to lose their expandability, and they really don't form a better seal than the shure foamies. i think part of it is that they're smaller and when they start losing their ability to expand, they end up being smaller than the shure medium grey sleeves. they also seem to soften the sound of the e500 and hold it back, overall. bass loses some of its punchiness, while the mids and highs still seem about the same. i prefer the fuller sound that i get with the shure foamies.

that said, the complys are super comfortable, but i don't think i can deal with the long complys being stuck that far into my ear for more isolation. anyway, i'm really not happy that i spent $15 for these complys! sorry, i had to rant.
