Hi all,

Completely new to the world of headphones and amps, could really use some help setting up my system optimally. I currentely have:

1295	Focal Utopia Headphones	1​
1024	WDS-1 (Black), AC220V	1​
1218	WA5-LE with high power headphone outputs . Included stock tubes: Psvane 5U4G x2, Psvane 300B x2, 6SN7 NOS x2 (Black), AC220V	1

I don't have any of the required cables and will be purchasing them. I would very much appreciate advice on:

1- Which cables are best.

2- How to setup the system.

3- Best way to feed audio into the rig.

Any and all advice much appreciated!!!

Holy crap dude. You just jumped in head first, didn't you? Did you work with anyone to make these choices? If I were you, I'd start out a little bit lower on the totem pole and work your way up. That's my advice...

Ha ha, nope, got a great deal on used and bought them. Also got the Woo WDS DAC. Thinking of getting a turn table but not sure where to start.

Nice. What kind of music do you listen to and what’s your audio source (where are your tunes coming from)?

Right now I am using my PC as a temporary solution with a SoundBlaster card, but not too happy with the setup.

I am unsure if investing in a mobile player, high end music streamer, or keep playing via PC is the best path forward.

Where are you getting the audio files from? What format are they? There’s no reason to do anything at all if you’re playing 128 kbps mp3 files, for example.
