In the never ending search of great headphones I stumble upon the next question:
Owning the Beyer DT990 (2003), which of the next cans would complement it best, with that I mean that I love the sound of the DT990 and I place it above the HD600. Basicly I'm thinking of the DT990 version 2005, Beyer themself now say that the DT990 is the top model, but how big is the difference going to be comparing it with the older DT990? Would the DT880 version 2005 be a better option? It has the Beyer sound, and is a more neutral sounding headphone (from what I read). Is the AKG K601 at the same level, or is the K701 the only AKG to go for? Of course the last option is not to upgrade at all, but who can do that
