My primary setup is a Hugo2 unit combined with my favorite headphones ever, the Empyreans. I have been contemplating adding an amp stage in this setup, for now the budget is about $1000 give or take so value for money is important. I love a romantic, warm sound and great vocal emphasis so tubes sounds enticing to me. However, I'm afraid of going too far down the tube rolling rabbit hole so perhaps I'm better off finding the most organic sounding SS amp possible. Any suggestions for great pairings with H2 and Empyreans is appreciated
