i'm not completely sure the maximus v gene and crosshair v formula have the same audio

What is the controller you are talking about? Is it the one that is connected to pc and is responsible for managing all deviances that are connected to it?

There are many things that can go wrong in an RMAA test, and when only the summary of results is posted, one can only guess what the problem was. I do not know where the claim of the audio performance being very close to that of the Xonar D2X comes from then, though.
