Which of the following would you be more inclined to use and why?
1. Apogee Duet connected to MacBook Pro using the standard analog output of the Apogee into a SR-71A (outputs are ALO RCA to mini interconnects); or
2. RS Predator connected to Macbook Pro using the standard USB output.
Having tried both, and having tried essentially the same set up as #2 using the Headroom Portable Desktop (with both optical and USB), I am generally inclined to #1.
Assume all other variables, e.g., headphones, ALAC, etc. are the same.
Thanks in advance.
