I would like to hear from DragonFly Red owners.

I want a new DAC that's capable of:

- Bluetooth via LDAC
- Wired over USB-C
- 2.5mm and 3.5mm plugs
- Compact for mobile use with IEMs

I really like the sound quality from my DragonFly Red. I've tried various other dongles and the ES100 but I still prefer the DFR, but I don't like that it doesn't have Bluetooth.

Any recommendations from DragonFly Red owners?

Fiio BTR5 ans Qudelix 5K should be good. Both are marked improvements on ES100.

Do you have the DragonFly Red to compare?

I've always felt that the DragonFly Red was also a marked improvement over the ES100. The only reason I use the ES100 is because it's the only way I can go wirelessly with what I have.
Sadly I don't have a dragonfly with me as I found it difficult to carry on the go.

I don't have the DFR anymore to compare, but from memory it had the largest soundstage of any dac/amp I've used - so much so that it didn't sound faithful to the original recording. My Q5K is more forward via bluetooth and more even via usb-c cable - no complaints here. Compared to the ES100, build quality is better and SQ is a notch above.
