denon d1000's feel like two plush pillows against your head. Its comfort alone has caused me to not use my es7's in almost 3 months.

X3 on the RP21, specially with the Beyer Velour Pads which fit perfectly.

Vouch this in terms of comfort.

The HD280's previously mentioned, while decent sounding for the price, are extremely uncomfortable, the amount of pressure on your head is responsible for a lot of headaches.

HD 280s are nice, but need some hardcore bass boosting. They can handle the bass, but are pretty shy about it until you start playing around with the EQ.

As to comfort and isolation, I think they're superb in both regards, but try them on first or order from a place with a money-back guarantee like headroom as I've heard some people find them uncomfortable.

X2 on the D1000s. They're nearly on the 'I-forgot-I'm-wearing-them' level
