Had HD590 - great comfort, veiled sound.
Had MS2i - great sound, bad build quality and comfort.

I'm looking for my holy grail... I listen mostly to rock, indie rock & electronic music.

I don't have an amp - and I'm not intending to buy one either - but I do have a professional level sound card (audiotrak prodigy).

What is your budget for headphones?

Your holy grail may mean headphones + amp, but does not necessarily mean spending more than your headphones only budget.

No fixed budget... in my experience the amp makes 20% difference and the headphones/speakers 80% - that's why I want to put the money on headphones instead of some amp.
