I just bought a KRK Rokit 8, and instead of buying another one I was thinking of maybe combining it with a KRK Rokit 5.
 
So I would have the R8 on the Left and R5 on the right.
 
 
I wanted to know if this is a viable option, i.e if the sound produced would be balanced and sound well combined, or if the difference would make it uncomfortable to listen to.

No. The sound would not be balanced. Different components. For good left/right stereo, you want matching speakers.
