Hi I found some coloured pads for the hd25, quite a few colours available.
Earpad Set Velour for Sennheiser headphone HD-25

I'd like to know if anyone tried these, if the quality is up to par with the regular ones made by sennheiser and if they dont make the headphones sound worse.
I'm really tempted to grab them just for the heck of it.

I like the sound of my HD25's better with the velour pads so changing the color is very tempting, just not sure if its 45 euros tempting. Maybe once either the US dollar or my wallet gets stronger I may try them.

Please post pics and impressions if you pull the trigger. (BTW, I think someone did try the Wood colored ones and posted a pic in the HD25-1 appreciation thread).

That's a pretty aggressive e-commerce site. All you have to do is click on "Add to Cart" and it takes you immediately to a Paypal invoice approval screen.

I had these coloured pads on my hd-25. There's noticable less isolation compared to the sennheiser replacing velour pads. The inner material is different. Instalation was also more difficult compared to the sennheiser velours which seem to be build like the original pleather one's.

Conclusion: It's maybe better looking, but not better sounding IMO.

I bought them from this site http://http://www.recordcase.de/earp...hone-hd-25.htm

And btw I was the person with the wood-colour
