Hi all, I'm getting tired of using in-ear earphones and I'd like to try circumaural heaphones or something like that.
I need 'em really really portable, lightweight and comfortable...they also has to be isolationg, really isolating but I don't like active isolation.
I'll use 'em with a cowon D2 and use flac or ogg files.
Now I'm using soundmagic PL50, this means I love detailed and balanced sound.
The price should be sub 200$.

What would you suggest?

Sennheiser HD428/HD438/HD448, sorry not collapsible!
Sony MDR V6 (Balance with deep bass!)
Ulrasone HFI 550/650 etcetera
Pioneer Monitor 10R, impressive...

There are many options...

Oh well: PX200-II

How do they isolate? I mean I need a really good isolation and with my in-ears it's good.
Same question for the akg, they seems like they're too small to isolate in a good way, isn't it?
The pioneer are really toooo big, for example, the px200 II size is almost perfect.

The PX200-II is definitely not circumaural but other than that they fit your needs pretty well. Isolation is certainly above average for headphones of that size but certainly not on par with any IEM.
