Well, I don't have the HD580s but using the etymotics, my non stock apheared47 (dual opa2134 I think, 1 9V), the MG Head is smoother, more transparent, and more musical overall. The highs and mids on the cmoy are grainier... and I'm not too sure how to describe the bass difference...
