Cliffnotes of previous threads:
1) Built cmoy, but had problems.
2) cmoy works! And sounds pretty good!

Now I've lowered the gain. I'm running at gain 4 or so now, instead of 11. Sounds pretty good! I've still got noise so I might try adding R5s.

Got some larger caps (470uF) to put in aswell.

Tangent's guide has been bang on about gain etc. Very very useful.

I'm so amazed at what this little thing can do. Its so open!!

I've no idea where to go next..

I think I might sell my xcans, instead of modding it. PinkFloyd made a good point - it needs a PSU upgrade, decent caps and the valves swapping fairly regularly. Soon turns into an expensive amp - I've already done the valves once, and it sounds great, but the new valves are starting to hum slightly!! (OK, so theyre 5 months old..)

Mint next sounds pretty good. Wouldn't mind having a decent circuit board for the next one though. Just makes it that much easier!

Unless your building for portability skip the MINT and go to the PIMETA.

The PIMETA to me is more complicated (to me anyway) but because the layout is larger it is easier to understand how it works.
