I just finished my 1st cmoy, it sounds great, the question that I have is that when I turn the amp on or off I get a loud pop through my cans. any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Is this normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes this is normal,i beleave i am also not the expert on Diy audio but mine dose it.Long as it's not overly lound i beleave it's okay,

One way to minimize the "POP" is to use a DPDT switch for both the V+ and V- supply lines.

You know it's funny I checked around this forum this morning looking to see if anyone else had this problem and could not find anything so I posted this question. about 5 min. later I find a post from aeriyn sayin that her amp has this, called it an on/off thump, perfect description, said that it had to do with dc offset, got my meter out and measured the right and left output to output ground, I had 1.0 and 1.5mv respectively, so I should be golden.
