I'm experiencing some problem with my 2nd attempt cmoy.

Here are some of the parts are I used :

1 9V Batt
2 0.22uF 63+V Cap
2 470uF 16V
1 OPA2132PA

The rest are all the parts tangent used in his guide.

Right now the amp is able to produce a sound but there's some kind of background noise. Even when I got no source plugged to the amp, there's a continous tone that can be heard through my earphones.

It goes something like : "drooot. crack. pause. droot. crack. pause" (repeat)

Check your connections, and interference. I'm curious as to what would cause such a patterned repetition of interference.

i use a dremel, a lot faster but also a lot more expansive

you can just score the board few times with backside of a xato knife, once it's about half way deep, clamp to a flat surface's edge and snap the board in half

I figured that the distortion was due to me not grounding the circuit properly.

I had to step by step, check the soldering for any short circuits or any un-necessary or accidental connections.

After that, it pretty much worked
