GendoIkari,
Did you also order the Alps RK097 pots from Tangent like Pars suggested? I love those pots as they are volume and on/off all in one!

Addtionally, Tangent EXTREMELY fast!

Oh damn, I didn't realize in Pars' post that he mean the ALPS pot worked as an on/off switch as well. I ordered a toggle switch from DigiKey. I'm sure I'll end up building another one of these and I'll go that route next time.

Luckily these parts are not expensive... if you get hooked on DIY like I am getting, then I'm sure you'll end up using the switch in some other project.

Yes he does, I got my PIMETA board in 2 days.

To the OP, I didn't get to this topic earlier, but next time you order part for a CMOY you should try 1.0uf input capacitors. I recently tried it in an amp that I built for my neighbor and the bass is much better then with the .1ufs. It was a noticeable improvement over the other 2 CMOYs I have, even though I used box caps.

I started it last night, everything is soldered to the PCB.

I am having a hard time soldering up the volume pot and in/out jacks. I have shaky hands and those little tiny pins are giving me hell.

take some nighttime cold medicine like nyquil or Tylenol pm, it will make you a lil sleepy which is good, becuase your body will move slower (less shaky). thats how i got my delicate cmoy soldering done. its probably not something you should do alot, but it works if your hands shake alot.

Well you should be happy that you're not soldering SMD parts

unfortunately I don't have a good enough digital camera to get a close up of the board.

as for what it is doing, at none-to-low volume there is a faint high pitch hum and as the volume is increased to max you can faintly hear the music. The music is almost all treble and is very distorted and quiet.

Sorry for the poor description. I made a few mistakes on my board and had to resolder a few things, I've double checked and reflowed any joints that looked like they could be problems and have had no luck.

Make sure you don't have any bridging going with you solder points...
