I live in australia, So I'm looking for a good source of op-amp chips that ships to australia.
I'm looking at the OPA213x line of op-amp chips. The guide for building the CMoy suggests using the OPA2132 chip, but I can only get them for around AU$16. Any suggestions for a aus dealer, or any dealer that ships internationally that carries this chip at a reasonable price?(They need to ship orders less then aprox AU$20-30 as well)

Also, Is the OPA2137 a suitable substitute for it? I can get them much cheaper. What about the OPA2134?

It looks to have the same pinout as the others, so can I assume that no changes need to be made to the circuit to use it?

Anybody know what sort of shipping charges RS Aus has? I was looking at them before but I couldn't find it on there page.

Shipping to canberra if that helps.

should be under $10, try and order a few parts from them (like caps/resistors/etc) to make it a bit more economical

I'm just looking at my local electronics store catalog, and they have the following duel 8-pin op amps. If any of these are usable, let me know since its alot easier for me to buy locally.

TL072CP
LM358N
LM833N
NE5534P
LM627CN

These are all cheap, so I should be able to buy a couple of different ones to try out.

Dont't know about the other ones but atleast don't go for the TL072 as it's from the bottom class opamps together with TL082, due to it's price it's ideal for circuit testing though, i paid about 0.10usd for my TL082

More interesting opamps are difficult here in Oz. If you can get to the trade counter for RS it is probably the best bet. They closed their Adelaide one

. Their shipping is murderous otherwise. $10. But you will get it the next day.

I would get OPA2134 for your application. It is so close to the OPA2132 it doesn't matter. The others you list (which looks like a Jaycar list, are all a waste of time.)

Useful places to know about:

Rockby www.rocky.com.au useful for lots of parts, but sadly useless for opamps.

Futurlec www.futurlec.com & www.futurlec.com.au - beware the Oz page can be different to the US one. They carry some opamps, including 2134 and OPA627, and at good prices. Some very interesting microcontroller stuff too.

I have got half a score 2134 from Futurlec, but got my OPA627s from Digikey. When you want the whole kit and kaboodle it is hard to beat just doing the lot from these guys.

As most people discover soon enough, Jaycar and Altronics are next to useless. There are boutique places, like SoundLabsGroup - but they have a $30 minimum order, and prices range from expensive to outrageous.

the 5534 isn't a dual op amp, from what i know. the 5532 is, but the 5534 version is a bit better. I just bought at 5532 yesterday and tried it. it's not horrible!

I'm about to swap my BT-928 opamp to OPA2132.
But I have some difficulties to find 2132 and I only find 2134 in France. Does this really matter if you take a 2134 instead of 2132 ?
