Cmoy op amp availability problem

Hello Everyone, This is my second post, my first one was in the wrong place any way here goes, you see the problem is I live in the UK and parts availability here is shoddy at best (they are either snobby (RS) or just plain useless (maplins)). I want to build the CMoy pocket Amp

and the availability of the OPA2134 is a huge zero, Can anyone please advise me on what component is best matched to it and available within my grasp?

What is wrong with RS?

the opa2134 is marked as in stock!
other choices are opa2227 needs a brown dog adapter since it is SO8 smd part.
There are other choices AD8620 but it is also SO8 and a touch expensive

I used to live in the UK( 10 years ago), and they used to sell to the public.
You can try RS in Spain they sell to the public no worries, but perhaps the shipping may be a little expensive.
You can also try sending Texas instruments a e-mail asking for a sample.
You can also try FarnellThey do sell to the public.

Everytime I have approached them I have been rejcted because "your not a business" kinda thing. How or who do i email to "request a free sample" ? I only want one so farnell are out, they only bulk sell afaik and digikey are the same, I only want one.

What would be a good equivalent from maplins? Does anyone know.

I've just gone through the registration on the RS site again and and the "Area of Business" box has a "Private Individual" option. Dammit, now I have two RS user names.

I don't think TI do free samples any more.

No, I have not emailed anyone yet regarding free parts, I wanted to know who and where to email , free parts are not to be sniffed at, even if you are declined
