Hey everyone,

I've been trying to build a cmoy amp for the past couple of days, with some difficulty... I'm suspecting it's the op amp causing the problems (I'm getting no signal, or a very low garbled signal), so I was wondering if anyone here has built a cmoy with an LM386N(-1) op amp and may have any tips? (what pinouts you used, other components, etc.)

OK an update... I rewired the circuit and now I'm getting a constant very loud static from the output whenever the battery is connected.

The LM386N is not a standard op-amp and as such it is not an appropriate choice for a CMoy Headphone amplifier.

Are you referring to a headbanger?
