I've had my JMT/580 setup for a while now and am happy with it, but am starting to get curious of what else is out there. I know this amp is optimized for Grado, so I wonder how other users feel about it's performance with the senns.

Basically, as soon as I get over this insane CD buying spree that I'm on, I will be looking for another set of headphones and perhaps another amp.

The JMT amp does great with the Sennheisers...it lacks some bass slam compared to a monstrous full size amp like my RKV, but it seems to be able to drive Sennheisers very well with plenty of gain to spare. For something like Sennheisers though I'd have to recommend upgrading to a wall outlet based amp, since Sennheisers will eat batteries like nothing with their 300ohm impedance.

Vertigo: I thought that the Senns. had a high impedance - and required a lot of voltage - but drained batteries VERY slow compared to the low-voltage, high-(current?)draining Grados....hmm......me confused

Can someone please enlighten me?
