Hey guys i just bought some components for my first cmoy...my dad bought them when he was in poland so some parts are differnt than the parts on the cmoy site....

cmoy.jpg

1 problem is the protoboard...
i cant fit everything onto it like it fits on the tutorial
here are some parts + board
in the picture ther is

2 electrolyrtic caps 200uf 25v
2 0.1 uf polypropylene film caps (the blue ones) on them it says 400v 100nk :S
dual op amp
and the board

i didnt include the resistors and stuff in the pic
he also got me
2 electrolyrtic caps 220uf 63v ...dont know why...are they better than the 25v?

anyway...we tried to put the parts onto our board but we are so confused becuase the layout will have to be so different...is it even posible?
help please

that proto board will work fine...dry fit the parts using the schematic... you will have to cut some short jumper wires to make it work though.

here is one I did that is not much like the traditional layout

i guess i just gota solder it all up now...what cable is recomended from cmoy to mp3?
how much would this cable cost on headfi or ebay....or how much would it cost to make (would it be easy or no?)

I don't see why having it they way you do wouldn't work. Looks just fine!

The most common cable to go from mp3 to an amp is a standard mini to mini cable. They can be purchased relatively cheap and made even cheaper if you do a braid and use a standard solder on connector from any place that sells electrical components.

Where are your audio jacks on that setup? I'd love to make one like that! Just need something to plug into :)
