I am trying to scale down the layout of the cmoy
this is what i came up with:

but it is not working at all..
it actually created some plain noise for a few seconds and nothing came out anymore.
I hope you can give me a hand on this..

Have you built one the way tangent says to? Not as fun as doing your own layout, or as small (although not really that much larger than what you posted either), but more likely to fire up on the first try.

Yes, I have successfully built the tangent's one already.
wanna try a tighter layout this time
but i fail to...

Have you run through my troubleshooting guide yet? If so, what were the results of the measurements it asked you to make?
 
Is this pad-per-hole perfboard, or unclad, or patterned, or...?
 
Can you post high-res pics of both sides of the board?

I haven't go through the troubleshoot, i don't have a meter yet..

I didn't see anything certain with a quick look for obvious problems, but I did find some things to check:
 

1. clean your board
2. make sure your uninsulated jumpers aren't connecting to any pads or solder joints they jump over
3. press down on the socketed resistors, to make sure they're in tight

 
I put the cleaning step before the others because the cleaning process can mess the other two steps up. So, if you put it off, re-do the steps you did before.
 
And of course, get that meter. Until you do, you're just making guesses.
