Clueless about streamers

I was focused on streamer to DAC and amp to cans as wireless. Has to handle 192/24 and have USB connectivity (S/PDIF only? No)

I'm a bit confused. I understand that from a router you'd like to go wired to a streamer, but what would be next? A streamer and DAC connected wirelessly?

Sorry no. Wireless from router to streamer. USB to DAC and balanced to int amp and balanced to can. Everything I have from DAC onward is set. Currently using cell LG v40 for router w/ usb-c to usb-a. Can't find the router that fits now? Will buy EOL (no more OS updates/support) LGv60 and hope for 2+ yrs of life.

Don't get why people want DAC's included. More complexity to fail. Lots of meh DAC's included. DAC in streamer may become obsolete. I am totally into my DAC, and willing to live w my .7 meter USB cable.

Again sorry for lack of clarity to start

OK, now I understand. ZEN Stream can be connected wirelessly to your network and in fact it was designed to be used as a wireless product that needs only one cable to connect to your DAC.

Highly interesting. Looks like a released product with an on going beta to extend testing/dev that was missed or not envisaged. As long as patch/releases remain open to all with product there shouldn't be a problem.

Now to finance this purchase....

It's a flexible platform and more things can be done to it along with firmware upgrades. As is, this streamer heavily focused on sound quality already made many people more than happy. Here's the thread about this product: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/ifi...-a-higher-plane.958391/page-141#post-16627629

Cheers!

I've read all the reviews and they are quite positive about the sound. When I get close I'll survey the field and make my move.

I have been using my raspberry Pi for streaming and it is very nice. I have a need for a separate device in my other house and I don’t want to have to disassemble my system and carry it so I just purchased a Auris audifi and I am hoping to get a good sound from it . The system is not as revealing as the one that I have in my primary residence so I don’t think I am going to be able to get a critical listen but I am going to try.
