Hi!

Does anyone have any recommendations for closed headphones with airy upper treble extension 8 to 16khz. ?

Other than the beyers. Any price range.

The TH-X00 and E-Mu Teaks both have pretty nice treble sparkle. I recall the treble on the K550 being pretty pronounced as well.

I do like the K550 back in the day, also the AH-D5200 but that is a little mellow. Sundara was great too, but thats open.

What about the Ultrasone Pro 900i? If memory serves, it's treble was like a shiv to the eardrums.

I had the Sig Pro, Studio, Adam SP5 those have very metallic timbre and harsh but not really what I mena by that airy sound

SONY MDR-Z1R for one I've heard.

Denon D9200 is another for one I've heard but I don't think it's as pronounced tbh.

ATH AWKT for one I haven't heard but the graph looks like what you want.

I will second the ATH-AWKT. They have a very lifelike treble response with a very natural imaging and soundstage (if not quite as wide as the MDR-Z1R).
