I bought a Zen touch a week ago and have been using my blu-tak moded HD280. I had the can for about 3 months and got used to the sound, BUT I can't stand the lack of mid bass and the screeching highs. I've got tired of EQing every song I put into my player so I'm looking for a new closed cans. My budget is around $100~$150 and the main criterias for my cans are:
1.good isolation
2.warm, HD595 kind of sound
3.can be used unamped
4.good soundstage, or atleast better than the 280
I'm interested in the Audiotechnica A500-900 series, especially the A700. Can these cans be used unamped and have good isolation? Any recomendation will be appreciated.
