Currently I am using beyerdynamic dt250 80ohm with ibasso d2 boa for office use, setup is laptop>alac>d2>headphone, enjoyed it very much. I got the essense stx sound card last week for my home rig, plugged in the dt250 for a try (High gain 64-300ohm setting), wow I hear much more details.... I am still a noob no idea how to describe in words, it sounds like it unlocked the potential on the dt250.

So is dt250 not a good pair with d2 boa? Should I consider esw9 or something else? Looking for something similar in size and low profile.
