I was going to recommend the W100's as well, but as Frenchman said, they would be above your price range. But if you were to stretch your limit, id recommened you try and find a pair. They share the warm, lush nature of the HD-650's, and they are also very relaxing as well. Both cans share the same smooth midrange quality, and are quite similar in that way.

I found the A900s to be in the ballpark of the sound signature of the Senn 600s.
I mean, if you micro-analyze the signature of any two models, you can pick out the differences of course (look at reviews of the 600s vs the 650s if you'd like this illustrated), but to me the initial impact was similar for both- not too bright, good soundstage, good bass.
