I got excited and was about to purchase the JVC HA RX700 but then I found out that they are not closed. Any closed cans that are similar to the 700s in regards to best bang for your buck and SQ for under $50? Will be using them out and about and wil be listening to all kinds of music. thanks in advance!

Hello there,
The only headphone that comes to mind is the Creative Aurvana live. For some guys is better than the JVC, but also more expensive. 
 
You can find used for around $50 i think.

Gemini HSR-1000 (Takstar Pro 80) closed headphones, sells on eBay for around $50.
