Long time lurker.
Did a search did not find any recent recommendations.

The Easter Bunny forgot to get enough stuff for baskets.
My 9 year old son has a very small head so its been a challenge finding something that fits.
Closed would be ideal.
Main source is iPad.
Something that won't break the bank
Looking for something readily available-Best Buy, Compusa, etc.

Looking forward to your recommendations.

Philips Downtown are pretty small when not extended.

JVC S400, they're under $30, sound great, and they fit my little 6 year old boy.
They are also durable and folds up nicely for travel.

Guys thanks for the recommendation.
I looked everywhere locally and couldn't find them
Ended up with Sennheiser HD201 after a couple of positive reviews for kids.
I ordered the JVC's from Amazon.
I'll let him keep the pair he likes best.

Thanks again.

I might be too late, but here goes. My kids prefer seem to prefer bass-heavy phones with fluffy earpieces. They listen to classical to JPop to Ramones to Yngwie to One Direction to... They seem to gravitate to the Sony XB line. Here is an introductory model: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-XB200-MDRXB200-Green-Extra-Headphones/dp/B00B9GF9XC/ref=sr_1_27?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1398023081&sr=1-27&keywords=sony+xb

Yngwie as in Malmsteen? I love him. Ever heard the "Unleash the Furry" tirade on the plane?
Probably NSFW but worth a listen. http://www.break.com/video/ugc/yngwie-malmsteen-threatens-to-kill-airline-passeng-331977

Thanks for the recommendation.

Ended up with the Senn HD201.
Fit is perfect and he loves them.
Youtube Minecraft videos have never sounded better:)

Thanks again for everyone's recommendations.
