Did a search did not find any recent recommendations.
 
The Easter Bunny forgot to get enough stuff for baskets.
My 9 year old son has a very small head so its been a challenge finding something that fits.
Closed would be ideal.
Main source is iPad.
Something that won't break the bank
Looking for something readily available-Best Buy, Compusa, etc.

JVC S400, they're under $30, sound great, and they fit my little 6 year old boy. 
They are also durable and folds up nicely for travel.

I agree. JVC HA-S400s would be a great choice. Easy to get off Amazon.

Guys thanks for the recommendation.
I looked everywhere locally and couldn't find them
Ended up with Sennheiser HD201 after a couple of positive reviews for kids.
I ordered the JVC's from Amazon.
I'll let him keep the pair he likes best.

I might be too late, but here goes. My kids prefer seem to prefer bass-heavy phones with fluffy earpieces. They listen to classical to JPop to Ramones to Yngwie to One Direction to... They seem to gravitate to the Sony XB line. Fit is perfect and he loves them.
