I am wanting to invest in some nice closed backs. Past year got some Meze Audio Advar and an iFi Gryphon xDSD to get a reference point for portable listening. I am very happy with the sound. Advar do an excellent job at my most common genre's of music. Hard rock and metal, as well as all the other things in between I listen too. Awhile back picked up a set of Focal Celestee to try over ear phones and wasnt impressed. I liked the more spacious sound of them compared to the more intimate IEM sound. They just didnt sound as good as my Advar. The bass lacked any authority. Advar to me have that good blend of solid but not over powering lows, with clean non fatiguing highs. Very easy to listen too. So my question, if anyone has any input, is recommendations to check out for closed backs $2k and under that would be similar to the Meze IEM I like. Meze Liric have been what I was very interested in but always one to over research would like to see what people with more experience have to say. Thanks

Meze Liric is a GOAT. Highly recommended, can't go wrong with those. Great sound and super comfy.
