Ok so i have about £150 to buy some closed back headphones to use at work with my Hiby R6 Pro mp3 player.
I think i will buy second hand as your money goes further.
I have Shure SE535 SE Red in ear earphones and i like the sound from them.
I can get some Shure SH1840 for about £190 ( over budget ) would these give me a similar sound ?
I listed to Rock and Trance music.
Has anyone got any other headphones they can suggest.
Thank you.

Few at the top of my head on the budget category would be:

PSB M4U, NAD Viso HP50, Used Oppo PM-3, Used Audeze Sine, Sennheiser Momentum/HD-1, Shure SRH750DJ (personally had all of these, but not at the same time)

DT770, 1770/X are also possible options from Beyer based on some of the postings

Focal Listen Pro I read somewhere were also pretty good, but never tried them.

If you were looking for something closest to the Shure SE535 LTD (I had them before), I would say the PSB or the NAD would be among the closest in terms of sound signature.

I would recommend the Soundmagic hp151,also very popular at the moment are the AKG K371(or the cheaper 361).I would also mention the Beyerdynamic dt250 80ohm as they are relatively easy to drive.
All of these are well below your budget, are easy to drive without an amp, and can only be improved if you pass the £200 mark where the Meze 99 would come in.

Meze 99 Classics would be a good choice, or NAD Viso HP50s
