Hi all,

I am looking for a closed back headphone, it must be closed back, and not an iem.
could someone help recommend me some based on the following;

- to be used with a burson conductor amp. Will be used with a desktop computer.
- closed back over ears
- price point does not matter
- I really like the comfort of the Beyer dt770s
- Music genre is a mix, however the majority of listening time is ska-punk/reggae fused punk. Sax, trombones, trumpets feature a lot in music, I tend to listen to more aggressive genres of music. Please see example;

Thanks a lot for reading, hope you can help.

If price is no object, the Beyer DT1770 is a glorious headphone.
It's the best closed-back I've ever heard.

I havn't heard every high-end closed-back headphone though, but I prefer the DT1770 to the Audeze LCD-XC by big margin (for example).
Stuff like Capdown should sound very punchy, fun and clear.

'Kained But Able' should sound really great with these headphones, especially when the bass comes in provides a thick underlying layer without changing or affecting the sound of anything else in the mix.

It's one of my headphone test tracks because it has a lot of different very punchy frequencies happening very quickly.
So it's good for testing how muddy/slow or clear/fast a headphone is.

I could not recommend the Ether-C's more highly. They are one of the best headphones Iv'e heard. They are not real hard at all to drive. They are high on the comfort factor also.
