I have the HD800s and while I really enjoy their quality and overall sound. My music listening categories don't fall into the 800s specialty. Some of my favorite songs are very airy and it really isn't how the songs are meant to play. I'm extremely interested in the LCD2 and LCD XC.
However since I spent a good $3000 ish on my setup I have now I'm a bit tight on money unless I decide to sell the HD800s and grab myself something different.
So my main idea is id like to buy some closed back headphones that I can listen to off my iPod or maybe with a portable amp, and also plug into my desk setup. I'd like something higher quality. I've got Vmoda M100 and they're nice but after I tested out hd700-800 and LCDs I'm really not as happy with the quality when I need to just sit down but can't be by my desk setup. So I guess I need some wayfarer type headphones that can drift around systems and portability unless i go with the LCD2s or XCs in which case I'd definitely like them
