What would be a good amp for it? I feel like 150+ for one is too much.
Close to buying Denon AH-D2000s, should I get an amp?

Amps are like the cans. There are many out there, highly varied in performance and price. You could try a Fubar III or a Cute Beyond. There's also the HeadRoom MicroAmp. There are others out there, but I have personal experience with those and can guarantee that they'll improve your experience than if you didn't have one of them.
I agree fully with Ham Sandwiches description of how the Denons sound without an amp. Most of the high end cans, to varying degrees suffer the same problems without amping. I've yet to own one that doesn't despite their being recommended as being OK without amp'ing.
