Hi there,

Been quite some years since I've looked at headphones, and my D2000s are falling apart sadly (with replacement parts almost impossible to find). Just wondering if anyone can suggest some phones that come close to or are on par with my beloved D2000s, and that aren't outrageously expensive.

Thanks!

As your Denon D2000 headphone used Fostex drivers, suggest you check out Fostex headphones.

What would be an upgrade to these with the current selection? I was doing a little digging and saw the E-MU Teaks and the Fostex TR-X00s. I read good things about the E-MU Teaks, but I can't find anywhere to actually buy it except for their main site. Not too fond of it having the exact same design as the D2000s though, which has some design flaws in terms of build (ie: too many pieces falling off/apart, breaking due to fragility and hard to replace, etc).
