OK... I've read just about every relevant thread BUT I'm ready to push the button on a new DAP (ipod) for vacation next week & need some quick opinions.

I'm currently using a Clip with ETY HF5 as a work out/all around setup. I'm happy with the SQ. Mt daughter has an ipod Touch 2G and I LOVE the SQ, much better than the clip IMO.. just kind of cleaner sounding. I'm tempted to buy a touch for sq alone but lack of buttons would make it sort of impractical long term. So... I'm thinkin' of picking up a nano 4g if it has comparable SQ to touch or at least better SQ than clip. I know there's no firm right/wrong answer but lookin' or some quick opinions. If the Touch SQ is THAT much better than a Nano 4g I may just have to get one...

if you can get ahold a friends: listen to them to see which you prefer. some will prefer one and others will prefer the other.

I've owned all 3, and the one that I prefer is the iTouch 2g. The new Nano doesn't have the same SQ as the iTouch, and imho, the clip still comes down sounding better than the new Nano. But the iTouch 2g is in a class of its own

I recently bought an Ipod Touch also, very very happy with it.
