[Bohemianism]

I have an opportunity to get a clearaudio champion for a pretty good price second hand and I was just wondering what people's impressions of the table are?
How does it sound?
How does it fair compared to it's competitors? or say the VPI Scout?
Would you recommend it?

I'm mostly interested in the reports I've heard that it sounds a bit cold, and doesn't have much emotion.
I don't mind a detailed player (if that's what they mean by cold). But I definitely want want it to sound nice and 'vinyl like'.
I listen to a variety of music, but the bulk of it would be rock, 60/70's and today.

Would pairing it with a warm cartridge help and amount in the best of both worlds?
For the forseeable future I'll be listening on a wooaudio6 with Sennheiser HD650's. And when I go to speakers I'm may look at going tubes there too.
Would this also help achieve the sound I want from the player?
I don't want it to be too colored, but a happy balance between analytical and inviting/emotional (I'm not sure I'm using the right descriptions but).
