Classical Music IEM

Penon Volt if you can stretch that budget a little or find a used one. Have a look at tgx78’s review in particular. All Penon IEMs excel in mids - vocals and timbre - so you may want to check out their other offerings as well. Vortex is less than 1/3 the price and quite excellent for instrument textures as well.

Can anyone recommend an iem for classical music around the £500 mark, also would like it to excel in vocals and acoustics would be great!

Tanchjim Oxygen.

Great mix of Harman tonality on top of good technicalities and organic timbral accuracy. My go to for classical or acoustic tracks.

Contenders for me so far........

Fiio FD5 (would prefer the FD7 but most reviews state similar performance)
Fiio FA7s
7hz Timeless AE
Penon Globe

Any other suggestions appreciated or opinions on above contenders

I have a fdx and the timbre on it is great for classical music. From what I can gather the fd5 is more bassy.

Penon Globe
Just curious - was there something in particular about the Globe that called to you? For slightly less money, I would consider Serial for its natural timbre and coherency. Unless you want more energetic treble and more sub bass - in which case I would suggest Penon’s new 10th anniversary iem.

Just the reviews really, consistently excellent reviews and value for money, will look at your other suggestions 👍

There is the Final A5000 in a lower price range. A very balanced IEM with good quality of bass. With this IEM I`m enjoying classical music in combination with my A&K SR25 mkii.

I've been interested in the a5000 too. Seems very good value
